Greetings and welcome to my site and to my site. Pull up a chair and relax; grab a libation, perhaps something to eat, and take a look around.
Special thanks to The Heaters, featuring Melissa Connell, for allowing me to use their hit “Living in a Sitcom” as the theme song for some of the podcasts. I thank them all from the bottom of my heart. And thanks to Maggie Connell for allowing me to use her song “She Flies” for the other podcasts.
The idea for the “What Now?” podcasts came to me after several people suggested I host a talk show or a radio program. Having minimal experience or connections in either of these fields, the idea of developing a series of podcasts was extremely appealing. What would I talk about? How racy and controversial could I get? Whom did I admire in media who had had success with their particular ventures? These were things I began thinking about in earnest.
I also thought about what I wanted the content of the podcasts to be and how I wished to present my material. The idea of interviews jumped out at me like black lettering on a fuscia background. What is my background? I am a musician from a family of academics who grew up steeped in the art worlds of Greenwich Village and Europe, a writer, photographer, and social investigator. Very little bores me, few things surprise me, and I am fascinated by the lives of others.
I hope you enjoy these interviews; please feel free to comment and/or make suggestions for future recordings. I am most interested in hearing your responses and will attempt to reply to all incoming posts.
Thank you for reading this and we will meet again.
